TOGETHER FOR SUSTAINABILITY
THE FUTURE OF MANUFACTURING IS SUSTAINABLE
EVERYONE CAN HELP!
At Tungsten Recycling, we believe that everyone can help slow down the harmful effects that our planet is experiencing. Our own recycling process minimizes our carbon footprint on the planet and helps to improve the efficiency of this work. You’ll find examples of this in our recycling and environment sections of our website.
This mindset is reflected on you, dear customers, when we analyse your production processes. We look for ways to reduce your energy consumption and increase the performance of your production systems. Not only will you become more “sustainable“, but your costs will also be reduced.
CLICK, BUY AND PLANT A TREE
If you want to contribute to the well-being of our planet, work with us at Tungsten Recycling. Not only will this reduce the effects on the environment, but more importantly, with every new contract for recycling your carbide and special metals scrap, we will plant a tree in countries that support sustainable development.
TOGETHER WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE, IN COOPERATION WITH THE "ONE TREE PLANTED" ASSOCIATION:
“One Tree Planted” is an environmental association that allows individuals and companies to give back to the environment more easily. With this tree-planting program, they support the creation of a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world.
The project started in 2014 and now they are working with many reforestation partners on all continents.
They restore forests after fires and floods, create jobs for local people, build local communities and protect the habitat of biodiversity.
Tungsten Recycling, with the help and logistics of the association, One Tree Planted, will plant a tree with every new recycling contract with our customers, in all these foreign countries to help contribute to sustainable development and the protection of the planet.
Here are the projects supported by Tungsten Recycling:
Sustainable development is not just about fighting climate change and trying to preserve the world’s oceans and forests. It is also about improving health, ending poverty and reducing global inequalities. At Tungsten Recycling, we take every opportunity to integrate these important aspects into our daily lives.
Our carbide and specialty metal products contain rare and valuable raw materials, including tungsten. At the rate at which we use tungsten today, it is estimated that the reserves of this metal will be consumed within 40 to 100 years. To extend this timeframe, we recycle all used tungsten carbide products.
THE FUTURE IS GREEN
We have built energy-efficient windows in our drilling factories in France and the United Kingdom, with estimated savings of just under 30%, while other initiatives have been launched to promote the replacement of many diesel cars and encourage the introduction of electric and hybrid vehicles.
In the future, the objective is to provide our customers with environmentally friendly transport options for receiving shipments of carbide and special metals, such as by rail, or by ship instead of by air.
PROTECT OUR PLANET
Rather than relying entirely on the mining of raw materials, Tungsten Recycling reduces its impact on the environment by recycling used materials. Carbide powders and sludge, for example, require a specific recycling process. By recycling, we can extend the time before the end of these resources, as well as reduce energy consumption by about 35% and carbon emissions by about 40%. Our recycling program contributes to the United Nations sustainable development goal, number 12: sustainable consumption and production.
Tungsten Recycling designed the used carbide recycling program to demonstrate our personal commitment to our customers and concern for our common environment. We will ensure that we provide winning solutions that encourage a safer work environment, support sustainable processes and generate good returns for the customer while protecting our planet for the next generation.
Tungsten Recycling will provide you with recycling bins and skips to allow you to recover your used carbide materials and tools. When the bin is full, the customer can contact us for collection and transportation to one of Tungsten Recycling’s certified recycling plants, the costs of which will be entirely covered by us.
PARTICIPATE AND GET PAID
Tungsten Recycling will recycle any carbide product, such as ceramic or cermet bars, for example. Upon receipt, the used carbide will be sorted and weighed, and the customer will be paid by any method of payment. The price depends on the market, and the total payment is based on the price of the used carbide at the time of receipt by Tungsten Recycling. To receive recycling boxes and set up your program, please contact your representative or our customer service contact person
